Alexander and Garrett, a local DC couple living in Capitol Hill (like me!), reached out to plan their engagement session with a vision full of autumnal magic. We decided to keep the session close to home—literally. Starting at Wine and Butter, a neighborhood gem near Lincoln Park, Alexander and Garrett brought their personally sculpted coffee mugs for some cozy, candid shots. From there, we wandered the charming Capitol Hill side streets. The vibrant fall foliage, warm brick facades, and iconic row houses created the perfect backdrop for their playful and affectionate dynamic. Next, we made our way to Capitol Hill Books, a treasure trove of quirks and charm. Stepping inside felt like a dream. The stacks of books, narrow aisles, and warm light provided the perfect setting for some candid, intimate moments. Alexander and Garrett’s playful personalities shone as they thumbed through pages and exchanged secret smiles—a book lover’s paradise.
